VRMA - Youth Mental Performance Accelerator

  • Mental Performance Accelerator is a group mentorship program that will cover all of the essential mental performance skills that your child will need excel on and off the mats.

    *Except the Sunday session (September 18th) of ADCC Finals which will be pushed forward a week

The MPA Modules

  • Mindset is how we see ourselves, our situation and the world around us.

    In this module we will break down what it takes to have an Elite Mindset and most importantly how to build an elite mentality.

    Strategies include how to reflect back on practices/competitions and how to approach these utilising our body language, focus and self-talk.

  • Motivation is the push that get’s us going, commitment keeps us going.

    In this module we will cover why commitment is so important for our future and how to commit to our goals and process.

    Here we will be building a personalised vision board for your child.

    Everything in life happens twice, first in our mind then in reality.

  • In this module we will cover how to build rock solid habits even from a very young age.

    We will talk about breaking bad habits and replacing them with elite ones.

    We will be setting our morning and evening routines to help your child dominate every single day.

  • By far one of the most important modules that I will cover during this course.

    Process over outcome mentality is what sets elite performers apart from the average ones.

    We will build awareness and make it very clear what your child can and cannot control when it comes to competition and life.

  • Having a rock solid focus is like a superpower in this day and age.

    We will be covering how to develop present moment focus and self-awareness.

    This is where we build your childs ability to zero in on the task at hand and help them recognize when they’re getting distracted.

    We will be introducing concentration grids; a very fun way to build focus and awareness!

  • Self-control and discipline is all about building the ability to put off what we want in the moment for what we want long term!

    Did you know that delayed gratification is something that is directly linked to how successful a person will be in the future?

    That’s what we’re building here.

    We will also teach your child how they can refocus and “flush” bad training sessions/competitions.

  • Your ability to manage your day is important and can be taught even from a young age.

    We will start to build some accountability and teach your child some simple strategies on how they can start planning their day.

    In today’s digital age, being able to prioritise, avoid distractions, and focus on what’s essential is imperative for success in every area of life.

 

What Is It…?

A programme for youth Jiu-Jitsu athletes who want to take their game to the next level but don’t quite know how to get there. This 10 week Intensive Group Mentorship Programme will help your child develop the foundations for their future. The program is designed to bridge the gap from where your child is now to where they want to be, in just two and a half months. Expect to see improvements in their Mental Performance within their competitive sport, school and life.

My name is Sam Antonen and your child will be working with me for the next 10 weeks, to improve all aspects of their competitive and organisational life.  I have worked with an array of clients from all over the world (United States, Finland, Netherlands, Hungary to name a few). Whilst working with me, my athletes have won World, National and Regional championships. Current and former clients include: Vagner Rocha, Jasmine Rocha, Kendall Reusing, John Combs and Jessie Crane.

Here's the Deal.

We are taught that certain people are born to be champions and that others must be content with being average. But this is simply not true. You are not lacking talent, you're just blocking it. Talent is something you can unlock. Champions are not born, they are developed through Mental Performance strategies designed to enhance cognitive process and performance, when it matters most. 

Life is not a talent game, it’s a strategy game. Most people just don’t know what the right strategies are.

High Level Performers know that to achieve their goals, they need expert guidance, tailored daily habits and continued discipline.

With this awareness and action, anyone can unlock their full potential. I have guided many successful athletes through this process. I have seen incredible results. And I am ready to share this with your child through the MPA 10 Week Course. Whilst the course is set up as a group intensive, this course is tailored to each individual to ensure we cover the content that works best for them, utilising group accountability and peer support for ongoing success.

The 10 Week MPA Course will be your blueprint to becoming a champion on and off the mat. The skills and self awareness you build here, will be the building blocks you will use for years to come.
